Initial ideas for music magazine

For my music magazine I am intending to do a mix between serious journalism and 'glossy' lifestyle. The reason for doing this is so that I can have a variation of topics in my contents and appeal to an audience of mainly females. I believe that there isn't a very sufficient magazine in the market currently which would appeal to girls who enjoy music and fashion. As far as design is concerned I am thinking of using feminine colours like lilac and pastels but I am not yet certain. I will create a new up and coming band which I will use in my double page spread to write a feature on.
